Kid Friendly Easter Table

| |

Easter is just two weeks away and even though it may look and feel a little different this year, I’m starting to get excited! Over on Instagram I have been seeing a lot of beautiful Spring and Easter tablescapes but noticed that most of them are not very kid friendly. In our house Easter is a big deal for our kids and we do our best to make it special for them. So this year I decided that a kid friendly Easter table, just for them, would be fun to put together. And guess what, it turned out absolutely adorable!

A Kid Friendly Easter Table

The ever familiar kid holiday table has never looked this good!

There are so many options for kid friendly tables! For me it not only has to be kid proof… but festive and pretty as well. So I let my creative juices flow and included a colorful vintage quilt, my jadeite tea cups and some adorable Jelly Cat bunnies along with a few other essential items! I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. It was just what I needed!

The Easter Basket Centerpiece

Our kid friendly table centers around this beautiful basket I scored for just $15 at a local flea market. The minute I saw it I knew it would make a beautiful Easter basket. I placed it on my vintage blue and white tablecloth and built the entire tablescape around it.A giant sized Easter basket serves as the perfect centerpiece for this kid friendly Easter table.

Filling Up The Basket

I knew a kid friendly table would need paper plates and paper napkins. Luckily I had some Peter Rabbit ones left over from last Easter that I had found at Home Goods. They had yellow on them and I knew I wanted to add a pop of color to the basket to pull out the yellow. Kids love color!  So I asked my sister if she had any ribbon and she came through with this beautiful yellow ribbon that I wrapped around the basket handle.

I also added, some sparkling lemonade, a strand of raffia carrots, sour candy, cheddar bunnies, a stuffed bunny and eggs that can be drawn on!

All of these goodies are perfect for a kid friendly Easter table!

The Cutest Tags

But I have to say, my favorite part of this tablescape are the wooden personalized Easter basket tags I got from the 2 Daughter’s Heirloom shop over on Etsy! Aren’t they beautiful?  They shared them over on their Instagram page and I instantly snagged two for our girls. I figured that the tags would last them forever! They add that special touch and brought me some extra joy this week!Having a kid friendly Easter table is always a fun idea! Check out these tips.

The Place Settings

As you can see this Easter table has turned into a bit of a Peter Rabbit theme and I’m not sad about that at all! In fact I completely embraced it!

I used fake lettuce chargers. They made me think of the garden in the Peter Rabbit book.

As well as old chalkboards as chargers because I thought the green was perfect and fun.

A Nod To Peter

Right next to our table is our mug rack. I gave a slight nod to Peter Rabbit with an old metal watering can with some faux lettuce and a porcelain bunny.

I loved this Happy Easter card so I placed it in the metal wreath and the pink made me smile! It’s the little things, right?

A Kid Friendly Easter Table

For me sometimes all it takes to have a little fun is being able to create a tablescape. This kid friendly Easter table just might be one of my most favorites! Do you include a kid table for your Easter meal?
