DIY Block Printing On Fabric

Learn how easy it is to try DIY block printing on fabric. See how I was able to use vintage textile stamps to create beautiful patterns.

Supplies Needed

– Fabric (I used my no-sew drop cloth napkins) – paint (multi-surface acrylic paint or fabric paint) – wooden textile stamps or rubber stamps  – paint roller or paper plate – textile medium  – iron (to set your paint to make it washable)

Find wooden textile blocks or rubber stamps at flea markets, vintage markets & ETSY.

First, choose your multi surface or fabric paint and add it to a tray or plate. Don't forget to mix in the textile medium into the paint.

1. Paint

Place your block or stamp into the paint. To make sure it is evenly applied use a brush or roller to even out the paint.

Place the block on the bottom edge to begin your first row. Repeat to create your pattern!
