How to Mod Podge Sea Shells for Decor

Have some sea shells from your trips? Make the insides beautiful with a bit of mod podge & patterned napkins. Check out this simple DIY!

1. Sea shells (collected from your favorite beach trip!)  2. Mod Podge Gloss 3. Paintbrush or foam brush 4. Patriotic napkins or tissue paper 5. Scissors 6. Optional: Antique Gold Rub-N-Buff

Supplies Needed

Gather Your Supplies: Make sure to have all of the supplies needed for this simple DIY. Then find a clean workspace to get started. 

Gather your sea shells. You can use ones from your personal trips or buy them at craft stores or on-line! The bigger the better!

Prepare the Napkins.  Once you have your supplies it is time to get started on preparing the napkins. Separate the layers. This is better!

Place Napkin on to Shell: Cut out your tissue paper to approximately fit the size of your shell. Then use your fingers to fit in the shell.

Push down your tissue paper and gently smooth with your finger. Then trim the excess paper from the edges of the shell. 

Seal the napkins inside the shells with a final thin coat of mod podge. Use a brush or your fingertip to get all of the shell. Let dry!
