I just realized that I began my journey of writing ‘Tuesdays with Tracy’ four years ago in September. So… I thought maybe I should reintroduce myself. I am Kelly’s mom!
A Reintroduction After 4 Years
I live in Colorado on a small neighborhood pond…
I love to have a cappuccino in the morning. I picked up this delicious habit on a trip to Europe and haven’t been able to break it. Nor do I want to, ha! I also love to have tea and scones. When my girls were little I would sometimes throw a cloth on the floor and have tea and cookies. Now I let them sit at the table for Afternoon Tea! Our favorite tea is Harney & Sons Paris, so yummy!

Faith
After I have my morning cappuccino I do Wordle and then do Bible study. Kelly and I are both leaders in our local Bible Study Fellowship. My husband Larry is also a leader. It has kept me more disciplined in my faith walk because I can be a tad lazy. Anyone is welcome! Www.bsfinternational.org
Time with Family
I have been married to Kelly’s dad, Larry, for 45 years. Larry was a football coach and we moved around in the crazy world of college football. I loved my role as a stay at home mom to both Kelly and her sister Lindsey. And now I love my role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren ages 26 to 9 years, and one great grandson about to turn one.
Kelly and her sister Lindsey both loved playing sports, including college volleyball. Larry & I loved going to watch them in all their activities and now we do that with the grands.
Time with Friends
I have a group of friends that I have played Bunco with for about ten years. We get together for dinner, Bunco, and lots of laughter. We accuse each other of cheating, which really isn’t possible in that game, ha!
And Larry and I play 5 Crowns, Mexican Train Dominoes, and Sequence with friends.
One of my friends was an art teacher. When she retired she began teaching a small group of us on her patio during covid. It was probably a lot easier to teach young children than us ‘mature’ ladies who joke and laugh at our ‘art’. This was a fun piece I did by simply copying a Laduree cookie box.
Travel
Larry and I enjoy traveling. We are beyond grateful to have been able to travel during our retirement.

We recently traveled up to the mountains to Estes Park, CO to visit the Irish-Scottish Festival. It gives us the flavor of the UK without traveling overseas.

Time with my Girls
I love spending time with Kelly and her sister Lindsey. If they text and ask who is available for coffee or a run to the flea market, I drop what I’m doing and run out the door!
I frequently text them with things I think they might want. I recently texted them both with photos of squishies (collectible toys the kids all love) to see if my granddaughters might want them. The answer was yes!
Last month I featured four photos of items I had found at a local flea market. I asked you all to mention in the comments what you thought I might have brought home.
Last year I brought home a large cement Greyhound and put it in the garden. I actually already have the creamer and sugar pot that were gifted to me by my mother. I LOVED this comment!
It was the vintage rug! I texted Kelly with a photo and she said, “if you don’t want it, I do!” So, it now lives in Kelly’s home.
