Favorite Things Bringing Me Joy While I Wait For My Zinnias
If you’re anything like me, late winter feels like the longest waiting game. The seed packets and seed lists are ready, the garden beds are still sleepy, and all I want to do is plant zinnias and watch them grow. But until that magical moment arrives, I’ve been finding little things that bring me joy while I wait for garden season to begin.

From simple home favorites to a few garden-inspired finds, these are the little things that have been brightening my days lately. Think cozy moments, tiny bits of inspiration, and a few practical goodies that I am enjoying as a 46 year old busy mom to make the wait for spring feel a lot more fun.

1. Chelsea Market Flower Poster
Inexpensive art always makes me happy and when it’s paired with florals, even happier. This is a Cavanilli & Co paper poster. I have an assortment of them and change them out seasonally in our kitchen. They could be framed easily or added to the top of butcher paper scroll like I show here. The price is unreal too! 2. These Two Devotionals
I have not one, but two devotional books that I am loving lately. The first one is Listen Closer by Brendt Blanks ( my dear friend) which is all about believing God’s truth over the world’s lies. Very relevant for today! The second one is for the garden lovers and is called Devotions from the Garden. Both books are a great way to draw closer to the Lord and dig deeper in to His word. 3. Faux White Hydrangeas
You know I LOVE my hydrangeas so when I found these faux hydrangeas last year that look so realistic I knew they would be perfect for holding me over. I use them all over our house and even on our front door until the real things arrive. The greenery with them is also the best. Linked HERE!
4. CALM
Lately sleep has not been as easy as it has been in the past. So when a friend mentioned that I should try CALM, a magnesium supplement before bed I thought, why not? Well I love having it mixed in warm water so it feels like a bedtime tea. I truly feel it has helped my sleep routine which = JOY. Linked HERE!
5. Kitchen Runner
Our blue kitchen is my favorite room in our home. Lately I have been drawn to red accents with blue so when I saw this new rug in a Rifle Paper Co pattern I decided to try it. Well let me just tell you it is even better in person! It’s beautiful and adds so much joy to our kitchen. Linked HERE!
6. Solar Fountain Water Pump
Did you see this simple DIY fountain I made a few weeks ago? It all started with a solar fountain water pump that I set in this beautiful blue and white pot. 7. Floral Mug Set
I’m pretty sure that coffee and tea just taste better in pretty floral mugs. These mugs come in a set of 4 and they are the first ones I reach for each morning. Linked HERE!
8. Faux Tulips and Vintage Looking Mug Set
Flowers bring me joy and even faux ones like these white real touch tulips. Hands down the BEST faux ones I have ever seen. I have two bunches! This hobnail mug set is also darling and comes with a set of gold spoons. We use them for yogurt, coffee and ice cream too! They even look pretty on our kitchen counter. Linked HERE!
9. Faux Cedar Trees
Ok, these 5 ft faux cedar trees were in my Amazon cart for months before I decided to get them. My mom showed them to me awhile ago and said I should try them out front. Well I had a day when I was missing greenery and decided I had better try them. They are so realistic and I love how they pop against our dark house. I paired them with these rattan planters from Walmart and I am So happy! Linked HERE!
10. Garden Markers
Another fabulous find from my mom are these garden markers. She used them last year for her winter sowing markers and loved them. So I too of course had to grab them. They have come in handy for many other things in the garden as well. Linked HERE.
11. Seed Organizer
If you know me you know that I am very laid back and a type B personality. So when it comes to saving and buying seeds I have them everywhere. I knew I needed a system to be more organized with their storage so when I saw this cute seed case I decided to try it. It is fabulous even for this type B mama! Patiently Waiting For Zinnias
While I’m counting down the days until I can plant my zinnias, these little favorites have been making the waiting a lot sweeter. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that bring the biggest joy during the in between seasons.
