My 2026 Seed List
It’s here, my 2026 seed list!
If you are anything like me you love to know what exact seeds others are planting and love. So today’s post is all about just that! My 2026 seed list shares what I’m planting, where to buy them and why I love them! Plus, it also serves as a reminder log for me in case I forget what I have planted. Which of course happens ALL the time. Tell me I’m not alone!

My 2026 Seeds List
Below is my list for all of the seeds (so far) that I am planning on planting for 2026. Most of them are zinnias but there are a few other flowers as well that I am planting for Winter Sowing and around our garden.
Buying seeds can become very overwhelming and just so you know if this is your first year it’s ok to focus on just a few flowers! This is my third Seed List and it has definitely grown as I myself grow in my gardening journey. (See my 2024 seed list and my 2025 seed list.)

Make sure to scroll down for where I buy them and please leave a comment below with ANY questions you might have!
Organizing My 2026 Seeds
Before we dive into the list I have to say being a lazy garden girl has its benefits, however I have realized that a bit of recording and organizing my seeds has been super helpful in making sure my seeds and myself are ready to go! These two items listed below have been game changers for me so I wanted to share them with you too.
- My Printable Planner (see it here!)
- Seed Storage Tote (shop it here!)

Zinnias
Zinnias are my first and true love! If you have ever wanted to grow them check out my guide here and I promise you will thank me later! Important Note: I direct sow my zinnias AFTER my LAST frost! I live in planting zone 5B in Colorado so this is mid to late May for me! Check your last frost date before planting zinnias outside by googling last frost date for your zip code. and then wait a week or two after that date (trust me this bonus tip is gold!)

- My own saved zinnia mixed seeds from last year’s flowers. See how I save my zinnia seeds here!
- Linen, Ballerina, Agave, Aurora & Benary’s Giant Lime all from Johnny’s seeds. I grew Ballerina, Agave and Aurora last year and LOVED their HUGE blooms! Linen is new this year and I am so excited to try them! Benary’s of any color have large blooms too!
- Madeline’s Mix & All the Beauty Zinnia Mix-both from Basket of Flowers Farm run by Paula and her sweet family. I grew these last year and loved them as well for their mix of colors and double blooms. Sizes vary.
- Pastel Zinnia Mix- Emilie of Flower People sells these seeds and this will be my 2nd year growing them, gorgeous blooms with a variety of shapes and sizes!
- Lilliput mix (smaller), California Giant zinnia mix, State Fair Zinnia mix, Dahlia Flowered Zinnia mix- all from Dollar heirloom. This is a new seed company for me and I love their variety and prices!
- I always grow this zinnia mix from Earth Science (the first seeds I ever tried!) and this year I will be trying this Home Grown California Zinnia mix too.

I am winter sowing perennials this year to save money and get my garden beds more established mostly in our front yard. See more on Winter Sowing Perennials here!
- Black Eyed Susans

Biennials
These beautiful flowers typically don’t flower the first year as they are getting established. Year two they flower and drop their seed for lovely self seeding. Thus acting like a perennial! I am in LOVE with these two for that cottage garden look. I have found a few foxgloves that do flower the first year though!
- Foxgloves – I am thinking about putting these in my raised beds along my backyard fence since they enjoy part shade! Maybe some pots as well. See my inspiration picture from Courtney of French Country Cottage below! Pink Gin seeds from Flower People and af ew from the Dollar Store too!
- Hollyhocks– These will most likely go in our front yard garden beds as I already have a few out there already. I just have to figure out how to keep the bunnies away from them!
Annuals (Cut Flowers)
These flowers make great cut flowers and need to be planted every year and will act as filler flowers for Free Flower Friday bouquets as well as bouquets for myself and others! I have already gotten most of these started in my Winter Sowing Milk Jugs!
- Batchelor Buttons (Dollar Heirloom)
- Nigella (from Flower People)
- Sweet Peas ( From Flower People & Dollar Heirloom)
- Feverfew (Botanical Interest)
- Verbena (Botanical Interest)
- Poppies ( Flower People, Botanical Interests, Burpee)
- Alyssum (Dollar Store /American Seed)
- Snapdragons (Dollar Store /American Seed)
- Cosmos

Herbs
I have never really grown many herbs besides chives last year, so I decided that it would be fun to try a few this year. My mom had success last year winter sowing herbs so I will do the same! These are on my list but not sure I will do all of them? If you have any recommendations let me know!
- Basil
- Lemon Balm
- Thyme
- Rosemary
- Chamomile
- Dill

Where I Buy Seeds
I love to pick up seeds everywhere I go! It might be a small problem. Ha! I also love supporting small seed shops as well so I have listed them all below.
Small Seed Shops
There are a few small seed shops that I absolutely love and buy their seeds every year! Click on their names below to visit their sites.
- Flower People– Emilie and I have become good friends over on Instagram and I LOVE her seeds. I typically choose her seeds first, they have become a must for me. Plus she also sells bulbs and corms and heled me fall in love withdaffodils!
- Basket of Flowers Farm– Paula and family have bred and collected the most beautiful seeds for years. I adore her zinnia seeds!
- Dollar Heirloom– Affordable small shop with heirloom variety flower, veggies and herb seeds
- Windfall Flowers (new to me this year!) Barb breeds zinnias and sells their seeds. Trust me you must give her a visit. She is in Canada and also opens up some shipping to the US so I am hoping to get some.

Bigger Seed Companies
And of course I also love several big seed companies too!
- Outside Pride
- Johnny’s
- Seed Needs
- Botanical Interest
- Park Seeds
- Eden Brothers
- Amazon has a lot of these seeds too. Here is my seed list from Amazon!
If you have any small shop or large seed companies that I might have missed please send them my way! You can leave them in the comments down below as well. I love finding seed companies to shop and share and grow.
I’d love to have you hang out with me some more! Feel free to follow along with me on any of the platforms linked below.
