This has truly been a dream come true. From the very beginning of my gardening journey, I’ve loved sharing simple, beginner-friendly ways to grow flowers, especially zinnias. And to now have curated collections that make it even easier for you? It feels like the biggest full-circle moment. God is good!
What Makes These Seed Collections So Special?
I created these with you in mind, the busy (maybe first time) gardener who wants a beautiful garden without the overwhelm.
There are two collections:
- Crazy for Zinnias Collection – perfect if you want a garden bursting with color and blooms all summer long
- Cut Flower Collection – designed for creating your own bouquets right from your backyard
These are the exact kinds of seeds I would recommend to a friend who says,
“I just want something easy that actually works. Please just tell me what to order! ”

These two collections are definitely Lazy Girl approved!
1. Crazy for Zinnias
If you love bold color, big blooms, and a garden that feels full and happy all summer long… this one is for you.
Includes 25 individual seed packets curated in collaboration with Dollar Heirloom Seeds—all centered around zinnias (aka the easiest, most rewarding flower you can grow).
Inside, you’ll find a beautiful mix of high-performing zinnias, including:
- California Giants Mix
- Dahlia Flowered Mix
- Cut and Come Again
- State Fair Mix
- Burpeeana Giants Mix
- Salmon Queen
- Cherry Queen
- Polar Bear
These varieties were chosen for:
- Big, showy blooms
- Continuous flowering all season long
- A mix of colors, sizes, and textures that make your garden feel full and layered
With 25 packets, you can:
- Fill entire garden beds
- Succession plant (my favorite lazy girl trick!)
- Or even share extras with friends
This is your “more blooms, more color, more fun” collection.
2. Cut Flower Collection
If your dream is to walk outside and cut your own bouquet… this one was made for you.
Includes 25 individual seed packets designed to give you a true cut flower garden—meaning flowers that actually work in a vase, not just look pretty outside.
At the heart of this collection:
- 8 high-performing zinnia varieties (your main bloom producers)
Surrounding them:
- 17 complementary flowers that add texture, movement, and variety
You’ll find a gorgeous mix of varieties like:
- Zinnias (California Giants, State Fair, Cut & Come Again, and more)
- Cosmos (Sensation, Seashell, Crazy for Cosmos)
- Snapdragons (Magic Carpet, Tetra Mix)
- Larkspur (Giant Imperial Mix)
- Sunflowers (Sungold Dwarf)
- Sweet Peas, Bachelor Buttons, Nasturtiums, Calendula, and more
This collection is designed so you can:
- Cut fresh bouquets every single week
- Mix colors, heights, and textures effortlessly
- Keep your garden producing from early summer through fall
Think of this as your backyard bouquet bar.

Why Now Is the Perfect Time to Grab Your Seeds
If you’re in a cooler climate like me here in Colorado, we are right on the edge of planting season. Or if you have already had your last frost pass and have some empty spots you need to fill up, this is the collection for you!
Zinnias and most cut flowers do best when:
- Your last frost has passed
- Soil has started to warm up (around 60°+)
- Nighttime temps are consistently above 45°
And once that happens… it’s go time.
The best part?
You can scatter these seeds, water them in, and in just a few weeks you’ll start seeing sprouts pop up. It really is that simple.

A Little Thank You
Truly… thank you.
Your support, your messages, your excitement, it all means more than you know. Getting to partner with a company like Dollar Heirloom Seeds and create something like this has been such a blessing, and I don’t take a second of it for granted.
If you’ve been thinking about starting a flower garden, let this be your moment.
You don’t need to overthink it. You don’t need a perfect plan. Just plant the seeds.
I’d love to have you hang out with me some more! Feel free to follow along with me on any of the platforms linked below.

I have grown Zinnias for a couple of years. Always trying to add more.
Yes, I started planting zinnias just a couple of years ago when I purchased a series from Floret Farm & since have purchased from a number of breeders as I find it an easy direct sow crop that is successful. My granddaughters love the zinnias & different Color’s for their bouquets they pick at the farm. I like the moody Color’s & they love the bright Color’s. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge & your lovely personality/encouragement!
This will be my third year growing Zinnia’s(because I stumbled across your IG page🥰), and now I’m branching out and adding some more to my cut flower garden!
2 years after following your lazy girl method.
Last year was my first time planting zinnias and it went great! Definitely going to plant them again this year.
I have grown them for last 5 years… My favorite happy flower !!! love them
I only grew zinnias for the first time last year. They did ok but not great since waited too late to plant.
I’m planning to try again this year!
Hi Kelly. I’ve been growing zinnias for three years now. I live in Michigan and started growing them in my basement under grow lights but once I found you, I decided to go the “Lazy Route! I now wait for soil to warm up and throw my seeds in my elevated garden. My garden has thrived with the beauty of the zennias and sunflowers. It has become the talk of the neighborhood! Last year I started giving away my flowers on Free Flower Friday, using recycled juice bottles. I set them up on a table in front of my house and they are gone rather quickly! Thank you for your amazing posts and wealth of knowledge. I look forward to sharing my flowers again this summer. You are a true inspiration!
I did but they were not healthy. I think they were old seeds… I really really want to win…surprise me…please thank you so much for sweepstakes for helping me dream and hopefully win…
Your posts give me so much inspiration! Your joyful. personality is contagious! Thank you for all the tricks and advice with growing zinnias. So happy I discovered you🌸

I have never grown zinnias before but my friend has a zinnia garden and I fell in love!
Zinnias are my favorite flower!
I love that I found your sight! I love flowers and want lots of them but to buy all the starts is so expensive so I never have many flowers. Last summer I bought Zinnias and planted them per your instructions, in beds, pots – all over – and what took place was sheer magic and delight! The colors, the pollinators that came and visited my flowers. I have pictures of all the bees and beautiful butterflies that came to visit each day. Not to mention how it helped my vege garden. I can’t wait to plant my zinnias this year and I’m even sending seeds to my friend. I have new places where i’ll be planting. I can’t wait!
I’m so happy I stumbled across your page! I love how simplistic and easy going your gardening technique is. This will be my first year growing at my new house. I’m so excited to get started!
Yes, I grow zinnias every year for the pollinators and to just enjoy all of their colors. I’m trying the dwarf version this year in tubs around my yard.
I started my zinnia garden because of you!
Last year was my first year growing zinnias. This year I have doubled my growing space. I so enjoyed my little garden bouquets all summer long.
I planted zinnia seeds last year and they were a success! I have two raised beds with zinnias in one and tomatoes in the other.
I appreciate all of the useful information that you share.
This spring is my first attempt at a cut flower garden! I’m so excited and thankful for all the information.
I am so excited to grow zinnias for the first time this year!
I found your blog last winter and started my first zinnia garden last summer. My 1.5 year old loved it and we can’t wait to plant next month! I’m planning to expand and add flowers for a cutting garden. We also saved seeds and gave them as Christmas gifts and can’t wait to see how they do!
Zinnias have been my go-to cut flowers for several years. After reading your posts, I’m so excited to try succession planting this year!
I started growing Zinnias 2 years ago and quickly found your blog while I was doing some research. I live in AR and the zinnias thrive in our sunny, warm climate. My neighbors compliment my front yard zinnias every year and I love giving them bouquets of my colorful zinnias.
This is the first year I’m trying to go beyond container gardening!
Hi Kelly!
Your passion for Zinnias is wonderful! I tried growing a flower garden last and it was disastrous and disappointing. Is it possible to provide TOO MUCH care? I think I over did it with water, mulching, etc. I’m hoping for a fresh start with your Zinnia packet…the flowers are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing your passion and making it so much fun!
Earlene W.
I’ve never grown Zinnias before and this year I’m trying it for the first time!
I had successful zinnias a couple years ago, but last year I planted late and they didn’t do so well. This is my year to redeem my zinnia garden! Thanks for all the tips!
After following your blog, I started planted Zinnias 2 years ago. They are so easy to grow, and I am far from an expert gardener. Their yield is impressive and the flowers are gorgeous. I love that there are so many varieties. This year I am going to follow your succession planting advice. Thank you for this generous giveaway.
This is my very first year of planting anything. I’ve never planted any kind of zinnias. I am excited to see all of my little garden babies ( as I call them) grow. I can’t wait to be able to save seeds and continue growing year after year and provide beautiful flowers as well as food.
I have never planted a Cutting Garden or Zinnias before. They are beautiful and I love the idea of a cutting garden.
I have never grown Zinnias before. This will be year 1 of many I hope. You have been a great inspiration. Thank you.
Hi Kelly
I’ve never planted Zinna’s. I’m just beginning to get into flower gardening. I’d love to win your flower kit to start planting them! Thank you
This will be my third (maybe fourth??) year growing Zinnias in south Alabama! I actually planted my first round last night, as we have been HOT already here!! Can’t wait for blooms soon!!
I love LOVE zinnias!!! Last year was my first year of a full garden area dedicated to them and it was glorious!!!
This will be my first year growing zinnias! Can’t wait for the last frost!!

You inspired me to grow zinnias when you first started lazy girl gardening, I will forever be grateful for you! Zinnias bring so much joy. I would absolutely love try a cut garden!
I’ve never grown zinnias before, but I’m curious if they are an easy choice for those of us without a green thumb 🙂
Hi, I have never grown zinnias before but I’ve been reading you for a couple of years now. I just recently bought a packet of zinnia seeds and put them in a pot on the patio. I’m so excited to see if they grow! I love your blog and all the information you share. Thank you. Hugs,
This will be the first year I will get it right 😁🤩❣️🌸💐🍀❣️👀
Congratulations on your collections!
Yes! This is my third year growing Zinnias and I’m absolutely obsessed with them!
Yes! Zinnias are the #1 favorite around here! I could plant my entire yard with them 😂
I’ve grown zinnias ever since I was in grade school (my dad made a special flower bed in our yard just for them!) & they are truly joyful plants! I’ve grown all sorts of varieties: giant, multi-mix, etc. and adore them all.
And, congratulations on your affiliation with such a reputable flower organization!
Thanks for your offer…!!! Hope my name gets “picked”! Sandra
WOO HOO!! Congrats on this amazing WIN!! Now good luck to all of us to win with you! I do love my Zinnia’s ! Especially the ones I wait to plant!! Thanks for this givie!
I love your blog! I have grown zinnias before! I want to try succession planting for the first time this year! This is such an awesome collaboration!!
I just started growing zinnia’s last summer when someone gave us some plants. They did so good and bloomed all summer. I read your directions about getting seeds from the plants which was so simple. I have already planted those seeds and have the beginning of the plants. I love the beautiful colors and the simplicity of taking care of them.
I have grown zinnias, and I love them! Following your page is inspiring me to grow even more of them this year!
Zinnias make the best friendly fences! Beautiful blooms & I love the look of them dried too.
I planted zinnias last summer and was so surprised at how easy they were to grow. They continued to bloom until the first hard freeze. Can’t wait to plant them again this season.
I’ve grown zinnias before, but last year I was able to get my husband on board – he loved them! And we spent many evenings sitting on the porch watching the birds (finches & Hummingbirds), bees, and butterflies enjoy them, too! I plan to expand our zinnia gardens this year.
I do grow zinnias. Some seasons are better than others. The colors bring such joy!
I tried last year and so so on the success. This year I’m trying the Lazy Way!
Last summer was the first time I attempted to grow zinnias. I had moved the previous fall. My grandmother and grandfather tended to beds upon beds of zinnias in my youth. I am now in my 70’s and wanted my grandchildren to have this very same memory of me and my husband.
I have never grown Zinnias. A few basic flowers but I usually do veggies and herbs. I have decided to really ramp up my effort to grow flowers to help the bees and beautify my space. We bought our home 4 years ago and the first 2 years we had an amazing field of wildflowers. The came the drought and possibly mowing too early before the flowers were going so hubby didn’t remember not to mow there. Anyway, it has been so disappointing not having the wildflower field. I am going to correct that.
Hi Kelly,
Last summer 2025 was my first year of growing Zinna’s. I thank you for all your tips and wisdom. I live in the same growing zone, so I really hang on your advise for growing Zinna’s. I grew mini and standard size last year, all in pots. Going to branch out to garden planting in 2026. Thanks again for your inspiration.
Yes! Last yeas was the first year I grew them and I am so in love with them. I am hoping to make another raised bed to have more of them! I was really inspired by your method and whimsical style. thank you so much for posting all that you do! These boxes and collections are such fun!
This is my first year growing flowers! I am going on year 3 of a vegetable garden that started from 6 tomato plants to 34+ plants! I’m SO excited to add flowers to my gardening skills. I’ve got zinnias, cosmos, echinacea and calendula to start!

Yes! I absolutely love growing zinnias and look forward to them every year. 🫶
I’ve been wanting to grown Zinnias for several years, but just haven’t taken the plunge. This would be my 1st year! To me, they are the perfect cross between a Chrysanthemum and a Dahlia, both of which I love!
I think that this will be my 3rd year of growing zinnias and I can’t wait to plant my seeds soon! You and your resources have been a huge help to me! Thank you!
I have grown zinnias twice! I saved seeds and planted them the 2nd year. My second year I planted a cut flower garden and grew basil, cosmos, celosia, sunflowers, and cress, along with the zinnias! I can’t to start again this year!
Thank you so much for offering this giveaway. May the Lord bless you. Zina was one of my mother’s flowers that she always planted every year along with roses and Dalia. When living in North Carolina I did plant it Zeus roses and Dalia and a few other kind of flowers but moving here to Michigan I have not planted any because I recently purchased my own home and I would love to have if possible, the giveaway so that I can plant those in my front yard which I am dedicating one section of the garden in memory of my mom. Thank you
Your smile always brightens my day! I’ve only grown zinnias in pots but you have motivated me to try a raised bed! I can’t wait to have beautiful bouquets! Thanks for your inspiration!!
I absolutely love zinnias! My goal is to have my garden boxes look like yours….i want to cut bunches and put them in containers all over my house. They just make me so so happy 💗
I fell in love with zinnias last year. I am so excited to see them again this summer. They are all so unique and beautiful.
I have not grown zinnias since I was a little girl. I started following you last spring and think I will try them again this year. Maybe I will mix different types and randomly scatter. Thank you for the inspiration!!🌺
I started growing zinnias two years ago & am obsessed! Your methods have been so helpful, thank you! Congrats on your seed collections!
This is my first year having a dedicated flower garden! I have only grown border flowers from flats. This year I am jumping in with both feet. I finally have the time to do all the research to be successful. I am so happy to have found your blog with so much wisdom for all us newbies taking the leap! Thank you!
I grew zinnias for the first time last year from plants I purchased at a botanic garden sale. I put them in a small raised bed, but they didn’t perform very well 🙁 I’d like to try growing them from seed to see if I have better luck!
I want to try growing a cut flower garden for the first time ever this year, I’m so excited. We had vegetable gardens for years in our old house, but moved to a new place and now it’s just going to some pretty flowers. I’m so happy I found you because I live in Colorado too and I feel like I never find a garden blogger who is actually from my state, so nice to finally find someone who lives with our insane springs!
This is my first year planting a multitude of varieties. Can’t wait!!
I’m obsessed with Zinnias!
I’ve been following your page and love all the information you share. I just planted two dozen mixed zinnia plants with cosmos and other flowers in my new front yard planters. I’ll be adding seeds to spread out the bloom season. I’m looking forward to cutting lots of flowers. Thank you! Congratulations on your seed collections!
I’ve got a friend who grew beautiful zinnias so I tried last year. Didn’t go well. I planted them in pots and must’ve done something wrong. 😅
Great collection and so nice to have a bunch of awesome seeds in one place – thanks for putting these together!
Hi! I started growing zinnias in 2024 with your guidance! Funny, we living in FOCO for 5 years but I discovered your page as soon as we moved away. We’re in Northwest Arkansas now and zinnias have sprouted and peonies are blooming! Happy Spring, and thank you!
Love the bright colors of zinnias! It’s been a while since I successfully grew them. I have a heavy deer presence. I’m not giving up.
My late husband grew zinnias in our vegetable garden many years ago. He would share the seed with family, and my mom who has a very green thumb got some of the seeds and zinnias would come up in her yard every year. She is 93 years young now and moved to an assisted living place. I hope the people that bought her house enjoys her zinnias!!
I haven’t had a place to put them until recently, due to shade. But, we had to have a large tree removed so now I have sun. I would love to win your prize so I might start my own zinnia garden.
Thank you for this opportunity!
I planted a seed packet in last year’s garden and I’m hooked! I can’t wait to do more so I can share the blooms with friends and family.
I’ve only grown them in pots, nut am going to try them in my raised garden this year. I ordered your cut flowers mix. Excited to see what happens.
I have grown zinnias before and will never not have them. I just received my order from you today and bow I want the cut flower collection too!😃 Great packaging of the seeds. Sooooo cute!
I started growing zinnias a few years ago because of you!! You showed me how easy it can be to grow beautiful flowers to cut and enjoy in my home!
I have never grown zinnias before, I have gone to so many you pick flower farms to make my own bouquets! I am very excited to hopefully start a zinnia patch of my own this season.
I have never grown Zinnias but I want to!
This is the year for zinnias for me !!!🌸💐🎉🍀❣️❣️❣️
Yes—love zinnias, but so do all the deer around me!
I have never grown zinnias or any other kind of cut flower, but I would love to start. Zinnias are such a happy flower!
Zinnias are my favorite because they last all summer long!!
I have never, but this year I think I have too!
I have grown zinnias. They will remain one of my favorites forever!
I first grew zinnia last year after watching and enjoying your content!! I had some success and look forward to doing even better this year! Thank you!
I love zinnias! I have always had great luck with them. We just built a new home and I’m excited to see how they grow at our new home!
I grew them last year. They are beautiful and just lovely flowers! ❤️
Yes loooooove zinnias!
Love growing zinnias. We’ve graduated to Giants for the garden. Been growing them for 5 years. Always so beautiful and colorful! 🥰
Zinnias are my favorite!
Zinnias were always my aunts favorite flower so I plant them every year in my garden to remind me of her. One year I got her seeds by mistake from one of the giant collections. The flowers were hitting people in the head at her gate when they came in and she laughed all summer about how huge they were. 😊
I grew zinnias last year and had success but so excited to grow them again this year again!! Love them so much 🌸
I planted zinnias last year for the first time. They did so well I replanted the full garden with zinnias, cosmos, ranunculus, and anemone 🥰
I’ve grown zinnias in a pot for the last few years but would love to venture out!! They are my absolute favorite flowers 🥰
I have not but I just planted some to try ! Wish me luck 🙂
I have planted zinnias in containers but would love to create a dedicated zinnia patch in my yard! So happy for your new releases!
I have grown zinnias before but am in Evergreen and none of my transplants made it past transplant shock last year, only the couple that I planted into the ground after June 1 made it. I’d love any and all hardening off advice and am interested to see how long it takes for these flower varieties to get to full maturity!
Yes, I have grown only a few zinnias the past w year, but planning to grow many more this year, so winning seeds would be perfect. Thanks for creating these collections. I hope they are wildly successful for you! Sharing with a friend if I can figure out how to get back to the post…lol 😂
Blessings, Debbie 🤗🙏💜
I have not done zinnias yet, usually just stick to marigolds, cosmos and poppy.
Can’t wait to grow my first zinnias this year! I have my bed ready to go!
