Tuesdays With Tracy: Summer Clothing Capsules
Hello Friends,
I hope this finds you well. Somehow April got away from me and I didn’t post a blog. We followed the grands in soccer and dance, and my sister came for a visit and we had a wonderful time.

Our son in law Ryan’s father went home to heaven so we made a trip to Nebraska. It’s so hard parting with family and we were all comforted by being together and knowing that God was present in the midst of pain. At times like these I hold onto God’s word…

Before I get to my CLOTHING CAPSULES I will share a few garden photos and thoughts.
May Weather
We have had some crazy weather this May in Colorado! This week we had snow, ugh. Look closely and you will see some pelicans on the pond.

And literally the next day…

Flea Market Finds
Do you remember when I went to the flea markets and then posted some photos of items I may have purchased? I loved having you guess what I purchased. One of you even said that you liked everything I selected, but you were pretty sure I didn’t purchase the cement dog. That one made me laugh out loud because that $40 cement dog came home with me!
We had an Italian Greyhound dog for seventeen years that the whole family loved. His name was Bubba and he was a true love bug. Here is my three foot tall cement Bubba in the garden.

What made me think of this was that Kelly sent me a reel on Instagram of someone else’s Bubba! See, I’m not the only crazy one. Ha! And you know, I’m now going to have to put a ribbon on Bubba.

So then I thought, how much do they cost if I were looking to purchase one. Well the real cement antique ones are outrageous, but you can get a cement-like greyhound on Amazon here.
In spite of the snow, this is also what’s blooming in my garden.

Every couple of years we go on a family trip. We are so fortunate that our kids and grands still enjoy our company. Both daughters and their families are fun to be with. Our family is growing, so now it will be fourteen of us including our newest member, our great grandson Sutton. Hooray!

This trip will be to Maui, Hawaii. Everyone in the family loves the beach and so do we. We usually try to loosely coordinate clothing color choices for a family photo.
What is a CLOTHING CAPSULE? It’s simply a collection of versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched.
I usually make a list of clothes and items to take on a trip but this time I had some fun putting a couple of collage capsules together.

I have most of these items and they will be linked above and below. If only my body looked like the women in the photos. Ha! Actually I moved beyond caring about that years ago. And at pools and beaches we see all shapes and sizes and it’s glorious.
I love two piece swim suits as I find them more comfortable. I am fluffy around the middle so the tiered tankini tops look better on me.
I have all of these items and I was able to source most of them on Amazon. I have had the black and white palm tree tote for years and love it. The brand is Aloha, and I also have one with lemons on it that I took to Europe for a shopping tote. The two zip pouches are also from Aloha.
Have you noticed that I like blue, black, and white? It makes for an easy travel capsule and it simplifies everyday shopping.

I love to wear linen in the summer. Yes, it wrinkles… but it doesn’t bother me. I forgot to add my black linen pants to this collage but they will mix in beautifully with the white and blue tops. I found the blue and white tunic at TJ Maxx but I linked something similar. I also have a navy linen dress similar to the light blue one that I will be taking.
Ok, so this is where I need your help. What do you think I should wear for our family photo?
Love,
Tracy
