Welcome Home Saturday

Hello friends! Welcome to this week’s edition of Welcome Home Saturday, a weekly series where several of my friends and I gather every Saturday on our blogs to share what is inspiring us around the web. Plus, catch a peek into what’s been happening with me lately.

Happenings at Home

It seems like the weather here in Colorado thinks it’s Spring already. We hit 80 degrees yesterday. If only I knew it would stay I would plant. But we most likely will have several more freezes between now and the middle of May. So I will patiently wait to to plant my beloved zinnias.

I had plans to get in the yard this week but somehow I lost track of time and didn’t make it outside. We were busy with sports, school and life!

But I did go to a local shop here in Northern Colorado called Maker’s Bench , and we are going to team up for a ” make your own” raised bed garden workshop! How cool is that? If you are local and interested in building, or picking up a pre made raised bed kit, the class will be on May 4th! I hope you can join me! They will have three size options and the beds are made of cedar. I am so excited to make a few more for our backyard!

Website and sign up coming soon! Stay tuned!

Last week I also had the honor of being interviewed on my friend Melanie’s podcast, Creatives On Fire. My friend Amy from @paintmadesimple was also a guest and we both shared about niching down and starting new Instagram accounts. It was a lot of fun and I would love it if you had time to give it a listen and let me know what you think! You can listen here.

Links and Loves

I have some fun links to share with you all today. Did you know if you click a shopping link in one of my posts and buy something (even if it’s not the same item I have linked) I earn a commission? Pretty awesome right? I am always thankful when you shop through my links. It helps keep this little blog afloat.

  • This trio was sent to me and you know I LOVE happy mail!
  • This vase has made flower arranging so simple yet so unique!
  • Did you see this when I shared it last year? Well I just bought it again!
  • Our blue and white floral duvet is back in stock!

And I’m sure this comes as no surprise but this year’s Mother’s Day Collage (and soon to follow post) is focused on Mother’s Day Gifts for the Gardener! Mother’s Day will be here before we know it.
