Outdoor Decor for a Fun Halloween Porch

Outdoor decor for a fun Halloween porch.

It’s October and the leaves here in Colorado are already changing and for me that means it’s time to start decorating my front porch for Halloween! This will be a first for me here on the blog. Normally I only decorate my porch with Fall decor, but this year….this year I have gathered some amazing outdoor decor from JOANN’s for a fun Halloween porch!  Plus, I am joining up with several other bloggers who are showing off their amazing Halloween spaces too. A Fun Halloween Porch

I decided to stay with the traditional black and orange Halloween colors and JOANN’s did not disappoint! I love the way the colors pop on our porch and of course my pew, Ms. Fanny! For us Halloween is a fun time to dress up and be together as a family and eat lots of yummy candy. We don’t get into all the spooky and scary stuff (except for a few skeleton animals 😉 ) so our porch reflects that.

A Porch for the Kids

To say that my kids are a tad bit excited about our Halloween porch would be an understatement! They are loving all of the fun and not too spooky decor that we have put out and there is already lots of talk about their Halloween costumes. My youngest even picked out the skeleton puppy under the pew! Their excitement is contagious and I have to admit I am loving it too! I am also loving that this decor is all about them, rather than all about me. Balance as a mom is definitely a good thing!

The Crows

Let’s talk about the crows, shall we? The crows are our favorite thing on our Halloween porch! I mean come on, aren’t they just the perfect touch? They have real feathers and bendable feet so you can attach them anywhere you like. Let’s just say they have been all over our porch so far and they have definitely scared a few unsuspecting family members!;)

The Focal Point

The idea of making the windows behind the pew my focal point has been in my head for a long time now. I wanted it to look like outdoor curtains. So to see it come to life really made me a bit giddy. It’s the little things, right?! It was fun using the creepy black fabric from JOANN’s to mimic spooky curtains. The sticks add a natural Fall vibe with their bare branches that just screams Halloween.

Colorful & Lighted Halloween Wreath

The wreath was a fun and quick little DIY . You can read my full DIY on “How to Make a Colorful & Lighted Halloween Wreath” by clicking here or heading over to the JOANN app and searching “Colorful & Lighted Halloween Wreath” under the How To section ! It’s quick, easy and makes a big colorful statement!

Happy Halloween

Around the corner from my favorite pew is our front door. I love the pew but goodness our front steps came out beautifully spooky! I have to say the decor, the mums, and Halloween sign make the entrance Halloween perfection! But I might be a bit bias.
